TEC Enclave

Build Trade Ports to generate Export Points. Allocate exports between credits, metal, and crystal to boost your economy.

Overview

The TEC Enclave is the defensive wing of the Trader Emergency Coalition. It holds territory through layered planetary defenses, automated garrisons and structural recovery, backed by the TEC trade economy, rather than through aggressive expeditionary warfare.

Compared with TEC Primacy

Both TEC factions share the Trade system, but their doctrines diverge:

  • Operational focus: Enclave prioritizes defensive structures and holding territory. Primacy emphasizes forward force projection, mercenary contracts and bombardment.
  • Defensive infrastructure: Only the Enclave can build two Argonev Starbases in a single gravity well.
  • Support forces: Primacy uses cultural insurgencies and long-range cannon strikes. Enclave deploys automated planetary garrisons to protect economic choke points.

Core mechanics

Trade network

Trade Ports generate export points that you allocate between credits, metal and crystal. They make the economy flexible, but building them costs resources that compete with early colonization.

Fortified defense and starbases

The Enclave can build two Argonev Starbases in one gravity well. Twin starbases slow an attack down considerably, but they still need fleet support to hold a system against a determined assault.

Autonomous garrisons

Planetary garrisons produce local defense craft that do not count against your fleet supply. They are built with spare factory capacity, and your own build orders take priority.

Ankylon Titan

The Ankylon Titan is a fleet support platform. Its shield reinforcement and disruption abilities are stronger inside friendly gravity wells, and weapon modules make up for its limited direct firepower.

Armistice

The cooldown of the Akkan Battlecruiser's Armistice ability pauses while the ability is channeling, so it cannot be chained across consecutive jumps.

Strategic trade-offs

  • Infrastructure vs. fleet: Heavy early investment in trade and static defenses can delay your mobile strike fleet.
  • Static defense: Starbases cannot move, so attackers can bypass fortified systems through other phase lanes.

Content and DLC

The base game Enclave roster includes the Ankylon Titan, the standard TEC capital ships and the TEC defensive structures. The Reinforcements DLC adds the Takadaran Command Fortress, a mobile cruiser shipyard and command vessel, and the Super Novalith victory condition.
