TEC Primacy

Build Trade Ports to generate Export Points. Allocate exports between credits, metal, and crystal to boost your economy.

Overview

TEC Primacy is the offensive, fully mobilized wing of the Trader Emergency Coalition. It breaks enemy defensive lines through territorial aggression, pirate mercenaries, cultural destabilization and long-range orbital bombardment.

Compared with TEC Enclave

Both factions share the Trade system, but pursue opposite doctrines:

  • Strategic stance: Enclave fortifies and garrisons. Primacy pushes forward, rewarding bombardment and recruiting mercenary allies.
  • Titan: Enclave fields the defensive Ankylon Titan. Primacy fields the Ragnarov Titan, a direct-fire kinetic artillery platform.
  • Destabilization: Enclave relies on static starbases. Primacy incites cultural insurgencies on enemy worlds and strikes them with the Novalith Cannon.

Core mechanics

Trade network

Trade Ports generate export points that you allocate between credits, metal and crystal. Commercial infrastructure costs resources that compete with early fleet expansion.

Savage Thrill

While your ships bombard a planet, Savage Thrill gives your ships in the same gravity well combat bonuses. The bonus applies only to your own ships, not to team allies.

Cultural insurgency

Where TEC culture dominates, Primacy can trigger insurgent uprisings on enemy worlds. Insurgent ships harass enemy shipping without using your fleet supply. Broadcast infrastructure is needed first to spread the culture.

Novalith Cannon

Novalith Cannon strikes damage enemy planetary infrastructure, and their shockwaves briefly stop defensive structures from firing.

Mercenaries

Tier 4 military research unlocks Privateer Persuasion, which grants a single Pirate Galleon. Pirates themselves launch directed raids instead of roaming passively.

Strategic trade-offs

  • Offensive commitment: Bombardment and culture tools only pay off when your fleet can reach enemy planets.
  • Investment timing: Building trade ports or culture structures too early, before a screening fleet is in place, leaves forward colonies exposed.
  • Auxiliaries vs. line fleet: Pirates and insurgents are useful distractions, but they cannot replace your core warships.

Content and DLC

The base game Primacy roster includes the Ragnarov Titan, the standard TEC capital ships and the Novalith Cannon. The Reinforcements DLC adds the Khevarkov Modular Battlecruiser, an adaptable command flagship, and the Super Novalith victory condition.
